Ella Mae Baker, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026, in her home.
Ella was born January 27, 1944, in Columbus, GA to Arthur Griffin Rigsby, Sr. and Nonie S. Stewart Rigsby. She worked in various retail stores in Fayetteville before retiring. She enjoyed reading her Bible and being involved in her church, Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir.
Ella is predeceased by her parents; her husband of 35 years, Ray Clayborn Baker; brothers, Travis and Arthur Rigsby, Jr.; sisters, Elizabeth Smith, Emma Pate and Eunice Barnes; and great granddaughter, Avalyn Rae Woodell.
She is survived by daughters, Ella Christine Brown (Jimmy) and Laura Ann Kuykendall (Bob); brothers, Tommy and David Rigsby; sister, Alice Simmons; grandson, Patrick Steven Kuykendall; granddaughter, Laura Mae Canady; and a host of other family and friends whom she dearly loved.
