Eloise S. Foles, 91, of Eastover, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Eloise was born with Polio, in Charlottesville, Virginia on August 17, 1930, to the late Joseph Hockette and Eunice Edge Hockette. She was a volunteer with Armstrong Elementary School where she won the Volunteer of the Year award, and, was known to all the children as Grandma.
Eloise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She had a strong Christian faith and was very generous with her time and talents. She was a member of Faith Wesleyan Church, where she served as Past President of the Ladies Missionary Society.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Eloise was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Leon Foles; grandson, Jason Foles and she was the last of her three siblings.
She is survived by her children, Michael Foles, and wife, Marilou, Cathy Perry, Paul Anthony Foles and wife Mary; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
