Grace (Miller) Henderson

Mrs. Grace Henderson went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 12th, 2023 in her home in Fayetteville, NC.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, DW, her mother and father, Bertie & Ray Miller; brother, Arnold Miller; sister, Joyce Miller; son-in-law, Brent Michaels and grandson, Jason Michaels.
She was born on December 8th, 1928 in Hickory, NC. Before retiring at 82, Grace and DW traveled with the US Army from the Philippines to Alaska back to Fayetteville, NC. Soon after they purchased "Grace's Hallmark". In early 2000s she was awarded "Woman Entrepreneur of the Year".
Grace was an active member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church for over 40 years. She sang in every "Singing Christmas Tree" until 2017, but continued to support her church family for many years to follow. She also was a member of W.M.U. (Women's Missions Union) and Crosscreek Briarwood  Garden Club.
She will always be remembered for her smile, generous heart and good cooking that she shared with her many family and friends.
A Committal Service will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church in the Gathering Hall on Wednesday from 1-2:00 PM with a Celebration of Life Service following at 2:00 PM in the Church Sanctuary.
Grace is survived by her children, Connie Michaels, and Dan Henderson, and his wife Teri, sister, Star Dust Miller;her grandchildren, Lori Michaels, John Henderson and his wife, Katelyn, and Lauren Henderson, her great-grandchildren, McKenzie Nix and her husband, Jake, McKenna Michaels,and Brooks Henderson, and great-great-granddaughter, Harper Nix.
