Graham B. Giles III, 69, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Womack Army Medical Center from cancer.
Graham was born on December 5, 1952, in Chicago, IL, to the late Graham Bernard Giles, II and Claire Elizabeth Tueber Giles.
Graham retired as Sgt. Major with the U.S. Army after 23 years of service. He spent five years as a Ranger and eighteen years with the 1st Special Forces Group Detatchment Delta. After retiring, Graham worked with Bechtel Nevada for a few years before going to work for Triple Canopy.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He was a man of many talents and was always busy doing the things he loved most. Graham loved his music and exercise. He was a daredevil and an adventurer having traveled to many places during his time in the military and civilian life. He was a big animal lover. Even though he left us way too early, he had accomplished more than most and had a full life. He will be greatly missed. We love you very much. Thank you for all the memories...
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
Graham was preceded in death by his son, Ian Andrew Giles and his sister, Christine Giles.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Terry Giles; son, Graham B. Giles, IV; brother, Gregory Giles and wife Kara; niece, Jodi Giles; nephews, Zachary, Garrett, Gordon, and Geramie Giles.
