Harold Dean Penland

Harold Dean Penland, 72 of Fayetteville, NC passed away peacefully at Village Green Health and Rehabilitation on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.

He was a deeply loved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick H. and Ruth Cook Penland, a son, Michael Kent Penland and a brother, McKinley Duain Penland.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Simpson Penland of the home, and a brother, Hubert Penland and wife Diane of Burlington, NC, Stepsons Justin McCarty of Jesup, GA and Jay Johnson and wife Kristen of Orange City, FL. Nieces , great nieces and a great nephew and a great great niece.

After serving in the US Army in Vietnam, Harold completed his education with a BS Degree in Industrial Engineering at East Carolina University. He was a Product Development Engineer with TRW Automotive in Greenville, NC and Purolator Filters in Fayetteville.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 11:00am at MacPherson Presbyterian Church followed by a memorial service at 12:00pm.
