Helen Ruth (Massey) Tucker

Helen Ruth Massey Tucker, 94, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Carolina Rehabilitation of Fayetteville.

Helen was born on April 17, 1930, in Shelbyville, Tennessee to the late Harry K. Massey and Bessie Ward Massey.  She served as office manager for several Fayetteville law firms and then opened her own ice cream parlor.  Helen was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Fayetteville.  She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Tucker and her sister, Nettie Hargrove.

She is survived by her son, Terry L. Tucker and her siblings, Georgia Fults and Bobby Massey.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.  A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Liberty, NC.
