Henry Arnold Autry

Mr. Henry Arnold Autry, 75, of Fayetteville, NC, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at UNC Medical Center, Chapel Hill, NC.

Arnold was born February 14,1949, to the late William Henry Autry and Eva Faircloth Autry in Roseboro, North Carolina. He retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Plant, Fayetteville.  Arnold was a member of Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church.  

Arnold was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Melree Autry.

Arnold is survived by his daughter, Emmy Autry and fiancé, Joe of Fayetteville; two sons, Bill Autry and fiancée Bobbie Jo Simmons and Charlie Averitte and wife DiAnne of Fayetteville.  Five grandchildren are left to cherish his memory: Brenna Kosterman and husband Eric of Wilmington; Annika Autry and fiancé Austin Fussell of Mount Olive; Calli-Eve Autry of Clinton; Hunter Averitte and wife Ivy of Benson; and Maddison Womack and husband Josh of Fayetteville; and two great-grandchildren; Sage Averitte of Benson; and arriving soon, Heidi Kosterman of Wilmington.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Michael Bartlett officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
