Hollis Glen Tingler, Jr. 70, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at his residence with his wife of 39 years by his side.
Glen was born on December 26, 1951, in Wytheville, Virginia to the late Hollis Glen Tingler, Sr, and Jean Quesenberry Tingler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in Korea. He graduated from Methodist College with an Engineering Degree and retired from Civil Service at Ft. Bragg where he worked as an engineer.
He was a member of the Church of the Open Door where he was an Elder and Teacher of the Adult Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 12 noon at the Church of The Open Door. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park West. The family will receive friends from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to the service on Tuesday at the Church.
Glen was preceded in death by his brother, David Tingler and grandmother, Pansy Wheeler.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Jackson Tingler; brother, John Tingler; aunt, Roberta Tingler; sister-in-law, Sandra Ashworth and husband Gary; nephew, Travis Ashworth; niece, Maranda Walsh and husband, Josh; great niece, Amara Walsh and great nephew, Connor Walsh; cousins, Gary and Delma Tingler and Mary and Kenny Morris.
