Mr. James Milton Bass Sr., 84, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. Milton graduated from North Carolina State University in 1958. He was a teacher for five years and was the director of Cumberland Sheltered Workshop for thirty years. He was an active member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Through the ups and downs of life, his faith never wavered.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anna Jean Bass of Fayetteville; one brother Carl G. Bass of Clinton; one sister, Alice Royal of Salemburg; five children, Sabrina Gibson and husband, Marvin of South Riding, Virginia, Becky Connor and husband David of Granite Falls, North Carolina, and Anita Vestal and husband Mark, Beth Brock and husband Craig, and James M. Bass II and wife Sandy, all of Fayetteville; sixteen grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.

He was a loving husband, dad, brother, son, uncle, papa, and friend to all who knew him.
