James Arthur Depew, 59, of Fayetteville, North Carolina went to be with our Lord on October 23, 2023.
James, known lovingly by all as ‘Jim,’ was born in Brunswick, Maine in 1964 to Charley Depew and MaryLee (McKinney) Depew. Though Maine was his first home, he also spent time in San Diego, California and Boone, Iowa, where he graduated from Boone High in 1983. After graduation, Jim enlisted in the United States Army where he served honorably for twenty years. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Donna, and they were married on December 29, 1990. They welcomed the birth of their son, Joshua, in 1992 and their daughter, Kaitlin, in 1999. After retiring from the military, Jim began a long and successful civil service career focused on information systems. He excelled in his roles within the Network Monitoring Branch, Customer Management Branch, and Operations Cell, all culminating in his final post and role as Chief, Hosting and Hoteling Branch of the Network Enterprise Center. Jim was a devoted father, husband, brother, and friend to all who knew him.
Jim is preceded in death by his father, Charley Depew; his mother, MaryLee Clark; his stepfather, Robert Clark; and his brother, Mark Depew.
Jim is survived by his wife, Donna (Cartner) Depew, his son, Joshua Depew, and his daughter, Kaitlin Depew; his two sisters, Carolynne (Melvin) Holmberg and Loree Spooner (husband Bill Britt); his two brothers, Chuck Depew and Dave Depew (wife Deena); and nine nephews and nieces.
