James A. (Jimmy) Wright

James A. “Jimmy” Wright, 65, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Born on November 24, 1960, in Cumberland County, Jimmy was the son of James William Wright and Edna Tyler Wright. He grew up working in the family business, Rite Way Safe & Lock Co., and later established his own company, Elite Key & Lock.

Jimmy was known for his warm personality and generous spirit. He loved football, especially cheering for the Tar Heels, and he cherished discussing basketball games with his grandmother, Lula Wright.

He was preceded in death by his father, James “Bill” Wright; his sister, Wanda Kay Wright; and his wife, Vickie Wright and his only nephew Cory Paul Wright.

Jimmy is survived by his mother, Edna Tyler Wright; his brother, Greg W. Wright and wife Glenda; his uncles, Bill Tyler and wife Janet, and Kenneth Tyler and wife Rebecca; his aunt, Mary Smith; and a special cousin, Denise Bovin, along with many other cousins and friends.

A private graveside service will be held for the family.
