Joann (Fair) McClurkin

Joann Fair McClurkin, 73, of Fayetteville, NC, died Thursday, December 19, 2024, at her residence.

Joann was born April 20, 1951, in Chester, SC, to the late Edward Woods, Sr. and Janie Mae Evans.  She retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  Joann enjoyed making memories with her family and friends, the laughter of children playing, her hummingbirds, and her many grand-fur babies over the years.  She will be dearly missed but forever in our hearts. 

She is preceded in death by brother, Edwards Woods, Jr. 

Joann is survived by her daughters, Katrina McClurkin and Shanna McClurkin; sisters, Cheryl Fair, Christine Johnson, Mona Woods and Cynthia Hall Woods; and brothers, Anthony Woods, Kevin Woods, and Darrell Woods. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m., at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.   A committal service will be conducted Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 3030 Pinckney Rd., Chester, SC 29706.
