John Rose Obituary

John James “J.J.” Rose, 75 of Fayetteville, NC - Born June 11, 1944, passed away in his home on Friday, April 3, 2020.

He was a graduate from N C State University, Served as an officer in Vietnam, where he received a Bronze Star and opened J.J. Rose Architect Office in 1973.

John is preceded in death by his parents Thurman Hubert Rose and Anna Cornelia Rose of North Carolina and his brother Thurman Hubert Rose, Jr. of Manhattan Beach, CA  

John is survived by two sisters Martha Cornelia Rose of San Francisco, CA and Anna Christine Rose of San Diego, CA

John has four children son- James Rose and wife Virginia, Son- Albert Rose and wife Stephanie, son-Malcolm Rose, and Daughter- Kylie Rose, all of Fayetteville, NC.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his time well spent at the flea market.

He enjoyed maintaining J.J. Rentals and could fix anything from a lawn mower to a broken window.  Most of all, John was a Wolfpack Fan and a member of the Wolfpack Club.  You could always find him tail gating with friends Ramona Jones, Lance Locklear and others cherished friends at the games.

In 2018, after 32 years, John retired from his position at Fort Bragg as Installation Architect. The result of his guidance was a more uniformed standard and harmony among the buildings.

J.J. Rose Architect, AIA was ASID and LEED certified and a landscape Architect. For the past 34 years, John has worked with his business partner Thom Stahl to do plans for Religious Facilities, Shopping Centers, Restaurants, Doctor offices and car washes to name a few.

John was a great father and friend to all he met. He will be missed by many.

A Viewing and Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 from 5pm to 8pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home.

Burial will be held at a later Date.
