Jurgen Everett White, 74, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Duke University Medical Center.
He was a Motor Officer for 30 years with the Fayetteville Police Department and after retirement, became a part-time Civilian Crash Investigator for the FPD. He was proud that both of his sons followed in his footsteps with the FPD. Jay has since retired and Gregory is a Captain with the FPD.
Jurgen loved motorcycle riding and was a proud member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club. He loved his dogs Ayla, Snickers, and Winston. He loved yelling, “What?” when the neighbors yelled, “Jurg” to him.
Jurgen is predeceased by his father, Eugene A. White, and his sister, Renate Aldridge.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rebecca White; sons, Jurgen “Jay” White II (Twila) and Gregory White; granddaughter, Kayla White; “outlaw” son, Shawn Strepay; sister, Joann Cowan; brothers, Johnnie, Gene, and Patrick White; "outlaw" brother, Anthony Hunt; his mother, Ilse White; several nieces and nephews; and in-laws, the Welch’s, whom he loved as if they were his own brothers and sisters; and a host of extended family and friends whom he dearly loved.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 6 to 8 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 12 noon in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel. Entombment will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
