Kenneth Ray “Jack” Jackson, Sr., 77, of Fayetteville, passed away on August 11, 2021, at his residence with his family by his side after a heroic battle with cancer.
Mr. Jackson was born on August 13, 1943, in Cumberland Co. to the late A.T. Jackson and Gladys Jackson. He was the owner and operator of Jack and Mike’s Barber Shop, a member of Calvary Holiness Church in St. Pauls and was truly “A Jack of all Trades”
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at 3 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 10 a.m. in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Scarlett Jackson, and a brother, Larry Dean Jackson.
He is survived by a daughter, Becky and husband, Alan Phillips of Fayetteville; a son, Kenn and wife, Starlett Jackson of Hope Mills; sister, Sandra Wingfield and husband, Jim; five grandchildren, Adam and wife, Faith Phillips of Fayetteville, Kellie and husband, Travis Tatum of Snow Camp, Hayley and husband, Chance Shatley, Caleb Jackson and Kaitlyn Jackson of Hope Mills; and five great-grandchildren, Cooper, Charlotte, and Tucker Shatley, Gideon Phillips, and Trevor Tatum.
