Lawrence Hardy Obituary

Lawrence Hardy, 59, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025.

Born in Washington, D.C., Lawrence was a man known for his heart of gold, protective spirit, and deep love for family. A truck driver by trade, Lawrence took pride in providing for family and keeping everything in order. Outside of work, he was passionate about football, his cars, and staying busy with handy work - always fixing something and always lending a hand. He found joy in travelling and spending time with those he loved, especially his beloved wife Kenya.

As a husband, he was Kenya's safe place - her constant. In every way,  he stood by her side with strength, he protected her fiercely and cherished her with all his heart.

Lawrence lived by the belief that " with God, anything is possible," and carried that faith in every part of this life. He was a funny extroverted man - the kind of person people naturally gravitated to. He was very black and white with no grey in between. If he liked you, you knew it and if he didn't you knew that as well. Even if he was a joke at their expense, those that he loved and cared for knew they were seen, safe and supported. if he cared about you, he would go the extra mile - quite literally and figuratively. Lawrence made a lasting impact on everyone he met. His absence has left a deep hole in the hearts of family and friends, but his spirit lives on through the love he gave and the lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Kenya; his children,  Lawrence and Leonard Moore; his mother, Linda Hardy; siblings, Lisa and Lewis Hardy. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many treasured friends.

If Kenya could say one more thing to him, it would be simple and true: " I love you."
