Lenore (Williams) Morris

Mrs. Lenore Williams Morris, 94, of Eastover, NC passed away Saturday April 17, 2021 at Bethesda Health Care Facility.

She was born September 9, 1926 in Cumberland County, NC to the late Leonia Bain Williams and Andrew A. Williams. Lenore was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. James A. Morris, Sr.; one son, James A. Morris, Jr.; three daughters, Shelby Gerber of Williston, SC, Brenda Shanks of Lewisville, NC, and Kathryn Scruggins of Eastover, NC; five brothers, Marcus Williams, Council Williams, George Williams, Alfred Williams of Wade, NC and Miles Williams of Spring Lake, NC; and three sisters Isabell Williams, Bessie Wolff of Sayer, WI and Ethel Propst of Raeford, NC.

Lenore was born and raised in Cumberland County. After raising her family, she went on to pursue a career in the medical field as an LPN. After retiring from Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, she worked as a caregiver for many local families.

Lenore loved the Lord and served Him for many years spanning work with young children to leading women through the WMU. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She is absent from her body but now present with her Lord!

She is survived by her daughter, Denise Lee of Winter Springs, FL; two sons, William Morris of Zebulon, NC and Gerald Morris of Hixon, TN; her sister, Sally Darden of Wade, NC; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.

No services are planned at this time.
