Linda Joyce (Wright) Bryant

Mrs. Linda Joyce Wright Bryant of Stedman, formerly of North Myrtle Beach, SC, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 17, 2025, at her home in Stedman.

Mrs. Bryant was the youngest of the children of Mr. & Mrs. Jack Guy Wright.  Her siblings were sisters, Maxine Mumaw, Sarah Hoffman, and Pauline Lancaster; brothers, James C. Wright and Richard Guy Wright.  She was predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings.

Mrs. Bryant’s most recent employment was at Cutler-Hammer from where she retired in October 1998.  She attended Kingdom Place in Lumberton & cherished her friendships at her church.  She enjoyed music (singing), time spent walking on the beach, traveling, and enjoying time with her family.

At the age of 17, she met Willie Bryant and later married him on September 25, 1959.  Their marriage brought them two sons, Dennis Bryant & wife Kim and Billy Bryant and friend Marcia Willoughby, and one daughter, Wanda Bryant Autry and husband Dennis.  She is also survived by three grandchildren, B. C. Bryant, Joshua Bryant and wife Heather, and Courtney Shaffer and husband Nick; and four great-grandchildren, Dallas Bryant, Peyton Bryant, Jackson Shaffer, and Addison Gail Bryant.  Linda and Willie enjoyed 59 years of marriage and their family was their priority.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm at Oak Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 6535 Oak Grove Church Rd., Stedman, NC.  Funeral services will follow at 1:30 pm in the church.  Burial will be at 3 pm at Lafayette Memorial Park - West on Raeford Rd.
