Linda Lee Norris Gordon was born with an identical twin sister, Brenda Mary, on 23 September 1946, in Danvers, Massachusetts, and Linda passed away on 30 September 2025 after a struggle of four months concurrently with ovarian and lung cancers.

Linda is survived by her husband, Thomas Michael Gordon, and her son, Terry Alan Remer; twin sister, Brenda Mary Norris Truette; cousin Nancy Longval (husband John); niece, Michele Holden with son, John Holden; niece, Heather Boyd; niece Rita McCarthy (husband David) with three children, niece Rita McGrath and sons, Stephan and Matthew: niece Janice Vetrano. She is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews, and many great-great-nieces and great-great nephews; sister-in-law, Deborah Charron Gordon (husband Timothy Gordon) with two sons, and Deborah's mother, Arlene Bourg Charron; and several life-long, close friends. Linda is preceded by her parents, Maurice Rowe Norris and Rita Alma Cook Norris; Linda's and Brenda's sister, Rita Vetrano (and husband Henry); and brother, Gregory Rowe Norris.

Linda and Brenda graduated from Danvers High School in 1964, and were members of the Blue Angels Drum and Bugle Corps of Danvers. She attended Essex Agricultural and Technical College, Hathorne, Massachusetts, earning a degree as a Practical Nurse in 1966, and then worked in Danvers at Pilgrim House Nursing Home, Peabody, Massachusetts. In 1970, Linda enlisted in the Women's Army Corps, and retired from the Army in 1990. Her last station assignment was Fort Bragg and last unit of assignment was the 36th Medical Company, 44th Medical Brigade. From the early 2000s to early 2020, Linda was the property mistress and part-time back stage manager with Terry who was a general handyman and assisted in set build-ups, for the Cape Fear Regional Theater. Linda loved nursing, the Army serving her nation, and participating behind the scenes in hundreds of performances at the Cape Fear Regional Theater.

Linda was independent, self-reliant, strong-willed, thoughtful and considerate, and friendly and fun-loving. Also Linda was very intelligent and creative, had a great sense of humor, yet most affectionate and romantic, loving and caring. She had a contagious smile to match her (and Brenda's) bright blue eyes and early age, mid-twenties, natural silver hair.

Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Private services will be held at a later date.
