Linda Grey Raynor

Linda Grey Raynor, 77, of New Bern, NC, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024. 

She was born October 26, 1946, in Harnett County, NC to the late John Franklin Raynor and Willie Grey Knott Raynor.

Linda was a 1964 graduate of Pine Forest High School where she played basketball and still holds the school record as the Highest Scorer in Girls’ Basketball according to Coach Jim Farthing.  She loved riding horses and loved the Lord.  She was a great Christian woman to those that knew her and for her children.  She retired from the Craven County Health Department.

Linda is survived by her son, Jason Autry; daughter, Lucinda Autry; grandchildren, Greycin Wynne and Collin Jacobs; sisters, Doris Grimes and Margie Raynor; and brother, Donald “Duck” Raynor.  She is preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald “Ronnie” Raynor and Gerald “Jerry” Raynor.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 7 to 9 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.  A Graveside service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 11 am at Lafayette Memorial Park.
