Marie Jane (Bagttipaglia) Figliuolo

Marie Jane Battipaglia Figliuolo, known as Jane, 91, of Fayetteville, formerly of New York, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Jane was born on September 7, 1934, in Queens, New York, to the late Victor Battipaglia and Catherine Cafariello Battipaglia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Joseph Figliuolo Jr; her granddaughter, Katie Figliuolo; and her sister, Francis Magnoni.

Jane spent the majority of her life in New York, where she and her husband made their home and raised their children on Long Island. She retired from Capital Wine and Liquor Co. in New York, where she worked for many years as a credit manager.

Jane loved spending time at the beach, whether in Montauk, New York, along the coast of Maine, or at Carolina Beach in North Carolina. Above all else, she loved and lived for her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, GiGi, aunt, and great-aunt, and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for those closest to her.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathi A. Wani  and MaryJane Tamborello; her son, Joseph Figliuolo III and his wife, Kathleen; her grandchildren, Shawn Wani, Adam Wani, Melissa Figliuolo, and Laura Figliuolo; and one great-grandson, Caden Wani whom she adored.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 1pm in Coram, New York, where Jane will be laid to rest beside her husband at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
