Mark Allen Arrington

Mark Allen Arrington, 68, of Stedman, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Cumberland County on April 27, 1957, Mark was the son of the late Joy Merlene Brewington. After his mother’s passing when he was a young boy, he was lovingly raised by his grandparents, Alvin and Mildred Brewington.

Mark retired from Goodyear Tire Company after 29 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed watching westerns, was a passionate fan of UNC Tar Heels basketball and football, and had a special admiration for eagles, collecting many eagle-themed items over the years. He also cherished time spent with his beloved dog, Diamond.

Mark is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna Arrington; his children, Joy Arrington, Amy Colantuono and husband Chris, and Marcus Arrington; sisters, Donna Brown and husband James, and Nikki Hutchinson; grandchildren, Brianna MacQuaide, Trista Arrington, Elijah Black, Mason Alderman, Chrissy Colantuono-Carter, Cameron Alderman, and Adriana Colantuono; and great-grandchildren, Letha, McKinley, Haisley, and baby girl Valerica, expected in October; and a slew of cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel, with burial to follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
