Martha Elizabeth Stewart, 90 of Fayetteville was called home to be with her heavenly father on Monday, December 7, 2020. She was born on December 16, 1929.
She was preceded in death by her wonderful and loving husband, Clarence S. Stewart, Sr. of 66 years and her loving daughter, Martha Ann “Marty “Stewart King; mother, Nova Fowler; father, Willie Fowler; brothers, Allen, James, W.A., Bill and Jimmy Fowler; sisters, Pauline Williford, Ola Bradley, and Mary Lee Hall; grandson-in-law, Jonathan Hunter.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Jessie Fowler of Sunset Harbor; son-in-law, Larry King (Rene) of White Lake; sons, Clarence “Doc” Stewart (Susie) of Goldsboro, Tim Stewart (Robin) of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Lance King, Brandon King, Danny Stewart, Tony Stewart, Timmy Stewart, Nicole Lee, Whitney Hunter; great grandchildren, Aaron Stewart, Morgan Stewart, Colin King, Taylor King and Taylor Stewart; great great grandson, Dexter Stewart.
Martha was a loyal and faithful member of Praise Fellowship Church of God, where she was very active in numerous areas of the church for many years. She held rest home services for 25 years, led Tuesday morning prayer services, was Vice President of Young at Heart and was always willing and ready to help out in any way she could. She was a dedicated and faithful servant of her almighty God. Martha will surely be missed in many ways by those who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Praise Fellowship Church of God. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. All attendees are requested to wear masks and practice social distancing.
