Mary Margaret (Davis) Kource

Mary Margaret Kource (née Davis), aged 86, passed away on July 7, 2024, in Fayetteville, NC. Born on April 21, 1938, in Roseville, MI, she was the cherished daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen (Dunbar) Davis.  Mary was predeceased by her son, Michael Lynn Kource, and siblings Larry Davis, Eugene Davis, Georgia (Bill) Griffith, and Murray (Sue) Davis.

Mary lived in Clawson for almost 30 years and was the "Kool-Aid" mom while raising her three children, giving them and their friends a safe, fun place to play. She decorated cakes and specialty sweets, and was renowned by neighbors for her holiday treat of homemade popcorn balls. 

Mary dedicated many years of service to Valeron/Valenite, from which she retired. In the late 1990s, she moved to Harrison, splitting her time between there and Fayetteville, NC. Her retirement years were filled with activities she loved, including traveling, crafting, quilting and reading, which brought much joy and fulfillment into her life.

She leaves behind her daughters: Pamela Anne Kource and Patricia Aileen Kierst (Bill); nieces: Mary DeVita, Laurie Sanabria (Henry), and Dawn Snay (Bob); cousin Robert Davis; dear friend Nina Zuber; and many other beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held Sept. 28, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Cadillac Memorial Cemetery, in Clinton Twp, Michigan, followed by a luncheon at Sajos of Clinton (36470 Moravian Drive).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Mary’s life and legacy will be remembered fondly by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
