Nina (Guy) Robinson

Nina Guy Robinson, 100, of Fayetteville, passed away on July 22, 2024, just shy of her 101st birthday.

Nina was born August 9, 1923, in Bladen County to Gaston Atlas and Kate Melvin Guy.  She was a seamstress working in hosiery, clothing, and finally draperies.  Nothing made her happier than sitting around the dinner table with family or spending time with her church family at Second Baptist Church on Person Street.  She was known for picking up the ladies for church and afterwards, taking them out for lunch.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge.  Nina is survived by her daughter, Patricia O’Quinn (Tommy); sons, Gary Wayne Robinson (Kimberly) and Eldridge Bernard Robinson, Jr. (Marilyn); 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 5 great, great grandchildren.  One tiny red-headed great, great grand baby came into the world the day before her red-headed “Great Grand” was headed to heaven!

The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 6 to 8 pm.  Funeral services will be held Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10 am in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel followed by a Committal service at 11 am at Lafayette Memorial Park.
