Patricia (Lewis) Owen

Patricia Lewis Owen, 86, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Patricia was born on May 22, 1938, in Cumberland County to the late Jesse Avery Lewis and Elizabeth Ann Melvin Lewis.

She retired from the Cumberland County Courthouse after 33 years where she served as Assistant Clerk of Court Bookkeeper.

Patricia was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her dear friend, Pat, and especially going to the Women’s Christian group at the Church.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 11 am -11:45 am  at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, followed by a service in the Chapel at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. Other times the family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Kim.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 64 years, William “Bill” Owen in 2021; her son, Joshua Owen; and sister Carolyn Lawson.

She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, Gam, Gigi and friend to all who knew her.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Kim Shore and husband, Jerry; sons, Billy Owen and wife, Patty, and Michael Owen; sister, Jackie Weyhenmeyer; grandchildren, Brittany Shore, Tanner Edge, Brandon Owen and wife, Caroline, Beth Owen, Katie Tomb and husband, Ryan, Christopher Owen and fiance Jade; great grandchildren, Ayden Nuzum, Jayce Nuzum. Alex Bloodworth and Hazel Grace Tomb.
