Paulette (Porcher) Nelson

Paulette Nelson, 88, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, June 11. 2024, at her residence with her family by her side.

Paulette was born on July 30, 1935, in Fontenay-Le-Comte, France to the late Louis Marice Porcher and Valentine Betard Porcher.

Through the years she worked as a cashier for the military commissary in France and as a housekeeper for the government housing in Germany and the United States.

Paulette enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Most of all she loved being outside working in her flower gardens and enjoying the beautiful birds that visited her yard.

Her greatest accomplishment was being a loving wife and mother.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel with a burial following in Lafayette Memorial Park.

In addition to her parents, Paulette was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Nelson. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, George Nelson and her daughter, Priscilla Nelson.
