CSM (Ret) Perry Michael Harrison, 66, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, with his family by his side.
Mike was born August 27, 1958 in Duluth, GA, to Alvin Perry and Dorothy Fay Browning Harrison. He retired from the US Army Special Forces after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq and the Global War on Terrorism. His decorations included the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star (2nd Award), Expert Infantry Badge, Master Parachutist Badge and Combat Infantryman Badge.
He enjoyed motorcycles, traveling in his RV, hunting and fishing, and enjoyed life!
He is predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Fay Browning Harrison.
Mike is survived by his wife of 44 years, Karen Denise Williams Harrison; son, Perry Allen Harrison (Morgan); daughter, Crystal Denise Dixon of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Hunter Harrison, Wyatt Harrison, Cullen Dixon and Perrie Dixon; father, Alvin Perry Harrison of GA; brother Keith Harrison (Anne) of GA; sister, Wanda McGuire (Kenny) of GA; his beloved fur babies, Cody and Izzy; and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 pm to 1:30 pm on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Services will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 pm with full military honors .
