Polly Ann (Drews) Tatum

Polly Ann Drews Tatum, 55, of Hope Mills, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in Duke Medical Center.

She was born on September 21, 1967, to Edwin and Edith O’Quinn Drews.  Polly worked as an Optometrist Assistant for over 35 years.  She was currently employed with Carolina Eye Associates.  She was kind and compassionate and had a way of making everyone she met feel loved.  She enjoyed making others laugh, loved the beach and dancing.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. 

Polly is preceded in death by her mother, Edith Drews and brother, Eric Drews.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Greg Tatum; daughter, Rachel Tatum; father, Eddie Drews; sister, Karen Clemmons (Rick); brothers, Ernie Drews (Vicky), Robert Drews (Janet), Tim Drews (Sonja); and her fur baby, Toby.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 1 to 2 pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Vander.  A Memorial service will follow at 2 pm at the church officiated by Rev. G. C. Hughes.
