Robert "Rob" Pleasant

Robert “Rob” Earl Pleasant, Jr., 55, of Wilmington passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at New Hanover Hospital with his wife by his side.

Rob was born on December 28, 1968, in Harnett County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  In 1992, he moved to Wilmington and began his business, Pleasant Land Service. Rob was known for always helping others. He loved his family and above all he loved the Lord. In his spare time, Rob enjoyed playing golf and fishing.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach.

Rob leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Susan Hickman Pleasant; sons, Jackson Pleasant and Tyler Roberts, all of Wilmington; parents, Robert and Jeanette Pleasant of Coats; sisters, Anita Pope (late husband Clay) of Clinton and Jill Pleasant of Zebulon; Uncle and Aunt, Ronnie and Monica Stewart of Coats; niece, Georgia Pope and nephew, Dodge Pope of Clinton; mother-in-law, Emily Moore of Bladenboro and several cousins.

The family would like to thank the wonderful Dr.’s and Nurses in the CVICU and CCU, who held our hands and helped wipe our tears. You will forever be remembered.
