Robert Marshall Usher, 48, passed away from complications of Covid on February 12, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was surrounded by love ones at the end and passed peacefully. He is survived by his mother, Sa Sun Usher, fiancé, Cynthia Deere, sister, Mary Huntley, aunt, Mickey Holden, uncle, William Southerland, brother-in-law, Cullen, niece, Kayla, many “favorite” cousins, and future children, Garrett, Mallory, and Madeline.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held at 3 p.m. in the Gurganus Family Cemetery in Shallotte, N.C. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, February 19, 2021 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
Robert “Ush” was born July 11, 1972 in Korea, but grew up and lived in Fayetteville. He graduated from EE Smith High School and was so proud to be a Golden Bull. He attended NC State and loved his wolfpack. Currently, he was finishing a nursing degree at Central Carolina Community College. He worked at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in the emergency department and loved helping others.
Robert “Mr. Chow” was a bright light in this world. He loved to dance, sing, and make people smile. He is loved by many and was considered a brother and family by most. In true Robert fashion, we love you long time.
