Rosemary Stuart Cook

Rosemary Stuart Cook, 102, of Monroe, formerly of Fayetteville, NC passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 at her home in Monroe.

Rosemary was born August 24, 1920, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lawrence Stuart and Leroy Cook; son, David L. Stuart; and granddaughter, Jennifer Graham.

Rosemary was retired from Sales & Credit at Sears Department Stores. She was a member of Indian Trail First Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 12 Noon at Indian Trail First Baptist Church with Rev. Irvin Reynolds, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 11-12 PM on Saturday. The family will also receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home from 10-10:45 AM on Monday, October 17, 2022. A graveside service will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM.

Rosemary is survived by her daughter Winifred Grizzle and husband George of Franklin, TN; daughter-in-law, Debbie Stuart; grandchildren, Angela Smilgius (Paul), Stephanie Wegmet (Jason), Lauren Lawrence (Shaun); great-grandchildren, Olivia Smilgius, Evan Smilgius, Jackson Wegmet, Skyler Wegmet, and Emily Wegmet.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Kidney Foundation, or a favorite charity.
