Sarah Beverly Harris

Sarah Beverly Harris, 65, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Beverly was born on July 24, 1960, in Elizabeth City, to the late Rev. Dr. Norman Bryant Harris and Sarah Isadora Jordan Harris. She attended Salem College before earning her master’s degree in library science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Beverly enjoyed attending Manna Church, where she volunteered in various ministries and joyfully offered her time and talents wherever they were needed.

A woman with a warm heart and a bright spirit, Beverly had a remarkable gift for making others laugh. Her words of encouragement uplifted many, and her kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She was especially known for her love of seasonal decorating—shopping for holiday décor was one of her favorite pastimes. Christmas, in particular, brought her immense joy, not only through transforming her home into a festive wonderland but also through watching her beloved Hallmark movies.

Beverly is survived by her son, Logan Hyatt, and his wife, Heaven; her brothers, Norman Brian Harris and wife, Rhonda, and Blair Harris; and her niece, Katlin Harris.

Visitation: Sunday December 14, 2025 from 1 to 2:30pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home.

Graveside: Sunday December 14, 2025 at 3pm in Cross Creek Cemetery
