Senora Eula (Eady) Stoufer

Senora Eula Eady Stoufer, 96, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at her residence with her family by her side.

Senora was born on April 25, 1926, in Jefferson County, Georgia to the late Morgan Miles Eady and Eula Mae Temples Eady.

Her hobbies were sewing and reading. Her passion was helping others, and she volunteered with the Red Cross, PTA, Church, and many other places where she was needed. She was a remarkable woman. One of her last concerns, close to her passing, was if we were ok.  Her favorite statement was, “My Cup Runneth Over.”

During her lifetime, she attended Lyon Memorial Methodist Church, Pope Air Force Base Chapel, and Cape Fear Baptist Church as long as her health allowed. She was also a member of the Officer’s Wives Club at Pope Air Force Base.

Senora was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, LTC Roy Dale Stoufer, USAF, and her son, James L. Stoufer.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Cochran and husband Robert, Kevin Marsh and husband Joe, Suzy O’Hern and husband Mike, Andrea Nail and husband Todd; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

The family would especially like to thank her caregivers, Lindsey Koonce, Matilda Blue, Ella Hunt, Jessica Hunt, and Elizabeth Thomas.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Cape Fear Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:30 – 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
