Shannon Royce "Bull" Beaman

Mr. Shannon Royce “Bull” Beaman of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was born February 5,1972 and passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, after a recent illness.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Royce Beaman and Doris Tyson Beaman, and his brother, Tim Beaman.

Shannon dedicated his life to local high school sports and followed Douglas Byrd, Seventy-First and Gray’s Creek football, basketball, and baseball teams. Over the last 20 years, Shannon roamed the sidelines of athletic fields all over the state in support of the teams, the coaches, and the young men he supported with his unique brand of motivation.

He never met a stranger. He was a special type of friend – one who always gave more than he asked for and greeted everyone he met with a smile and a laugh. He was a friend to countless people he worked with at Food Lion and met throughout the local sports community. He was proud of his family and spent countless hours laughing and reminiscing with them.

Shannon is survived by his brothers Greg Beaman (Donna) and Tony Chavonne (Joanne) in addition to several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends that were dear to his heart.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, 545 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, followed by a funeral service at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St., Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bull’s honor to Gray’s Creek High School Athletics, 5301 Celebration Dr., Hope Mills. NC 28348.
