Shannon Marie (Nunnery) Rozier

Shannon Marie Nunnery Rozier, 56, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at her home.

Shannon was born October 1, 1969, in Fayetteville to Samuel Wesley Nunnery, Sr. and Rose Marie Worthington.  She is an 8th grade Social Studies teacher at Mac Williams Middle School.  She loved her students, loved history, working in her yard, and was always busy.  It was hard to keep up with her. She loved her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her father and her step-sister, Katie Lewis Nunnery.

Shannon is survived by her husband, Norman Darius Rozier; her mother, Rose Marie Nichols; her sons, Joshua Helmey (Roxie) and Jacob Helmey; step-son, Daniel Rozier (Samantha); step-daughter, Kristen Rozier; grandchildren, Emma and Ivan Rozier; brothers, Samuel Wesley Nunnery, Jr. and Dewey Nunnery; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 5 to 7 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 1pm in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel.  Burial will follow at Old Bluff Cemetery in Wade.
