Shirley (Tidwell) Frederick

Shirley Tidwell Frederick, 86, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

Shirley was born on December 14, 1938, in Columbia, S.C. to the late Troy C. Tidwell and Garnie Davis Tidwell. She retired from civil service at Ft. Bragg where she worked as an arts and crafts director.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM following with a funeral at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Main Post Cemetery on Ft. Bragg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Frederick.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Karen Frederick Davis and husband Larry of Charlotte; son, Clif Frederick of Castle Hayne; sisters, Margie Dillard of Leesville, SC and Maisie Enfinger of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Kenneth Davis, Holly Davis Brown and Amanda Elizabeth Flores; great grandchildren, Conner Davis, Bailey Davis, Lucas Flores, and Samantha Flores; and her doggie, Lilli.
