Stephanie Gail (Moncrief) Rogers

Stephanie Gail Rogers, 75, was sent to her eternal home on Thursday, April 3, 2025.  She was born on February 18, 1950, in Johnson City, TN.  She was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Eunice Moncrief. 

In addition to her parents, Stephanie was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Gail Lee. 

Stephanie was a member Lafayette Baptist Church and had a deep-rooted faith in Jesus.  

She is survived by her son, Richard S. Lee IV and wife Nicole Lee; daughter, Ariana Rogers and partner Brandon Valenzuela; grandchildren, Adeline Lee, Brantley Valenzuela, Ty Valenzuela and Evan Valenzula; and sister, Dee Orie-Fearon.

After graduating from Science Hill High School in Johnson City, TN, Stephanie embarked on her miliary career and joined the United States Air Force. As a Staff Sergeant she received a National Defense Service Medal and Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

Stephanie loved to sing, dance, watch her soap operas, Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune.  She had been part of a bowling league and loved to play cards with friends. There wasn’t a sports trivia question she didn’t know or sporting event she wouldn’t watch especially her beloved NC State Wolfpack. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 12 Noon at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 11:45 am. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 12, 2025, at 10 am at Sandhills State Veteran's Cemetery.
