Tommie Sue (Reed) Jacobs

Tommie Sue (Reed) Jacobs, 73 of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at home with her beloved family by her side.  

Tommie Sue, was born December 29, 1947, in Augusta County, VA to the late Thomas L. Reed and Mary F. (Bridges) Reed.  She graduated from Elizabeth Brant School of Business in 1965 and worked as a Secretary at the University of Virginia.  Tommie Sue married Don E Jacobs on October 12, 1968.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She had a strong Christian faith and was very generous with her time and talents.  Her faith led her to begin her teaching career at Cornerstone Christian Academy where both her children attended.  She then went on to retire from Cumberland County Schools (Reid Ross Classical School).   

Those left to cherish Tommie Sue’s memory include her beloved husband, Don E Jacobs; her daughter, Tara E Parris and husband Andy, Wake Forest NC, son Brian E Jacobs and wife Samantha, Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Nolan Parris, Chase Jacobs, Andro Ringl and Kayleigh Jacobs.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 9th, 2021 from 5 pm to 6 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home with the Celebration of Life Service at 6 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home, 545 Ramsey St. Fayetteville, NC 28301
