Ursula Charlotte Elfriede (Krug) Johnston

Mrs. Ursula Charlotte Elfriede Johnston, a resident of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on May 3, 2024.  She was born February 11, 1934, to the late Heinrich Krug and Johanna Irene Ehrhardt Krug in Sondershausen-Berbra, Germany. 

Ursula was a resident of Fayetteville for many years.  She married Donald L. Johnston, a United States soldier after World War II and came to the United States in the 1950’s.  Ursula and Donald were married for 70 years.

In addition to her parents, Ursula was preceded in death by her brother, Manfred Krug and sister, Hildegard Wenzel.  She is survived by her husband, Donald L. Johnston; two daughters, Doris Richey and husband James of Cameron, NC and Elaine Lewis and husband Wes of Spring Lake, NC; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and a niece and grandnephew of Koblenz, Germany. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
