Wilma Jean Flint “Jean”, 85, of Lumber Bridge, NC, passed away on June 27 her 85th birthday, as the result of a head injury due to a fall.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 2nd, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.at the Lumber Bridge Presbyterian Church. Pastor Robert Bach will be officiating.
Jean was born in Dunn, NC on June 27th, 1936. Jean was the beloved wife of retired Sargent Major Edward Lee Flint for 55 years. She worked in the banking industry for many years. As a military wife, Jean and the family traveled to various location around the U.S. following Ed’s military career. They also lived in Germany for three years returning home to North Carolina in 1979 prior to Ed’s retirement in 1981. Jean was also an accomplished quilter, baker, and seamstress.
Jean is survived her husband Edward Lee Flint; daughters, Jeanette Tellinghuisen and Kathy Mason; grandchildren, Stephanie Nolen, Eric Tellinghuisen, Angela Mac, Christopher Rowbotham; and great-grandchildren, Hannah Rowbotham, Mason Nolen, James Nolen, and Rylan Nolen.
