Wilma Cummings Mickler passed away peacefully on March 31, 2022, at the age of 99, at Wickshire Creeks Crossing in Raeford.

Wilma was born in Randolph County, Alabama on Feb. 7, 1923.  She had been a resident of Fayetteville, N.C. since 1964.

She was pre-deceased by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth B. Mickler; her parents, Oye and Annie Cummings of Wedowee, Al. along with two brothers and four sisters.  She was the only remaining member of her family.

Wilma is survived by a daughter, Diane Hall and her husband, James F. Hall; sons, Keith B. Mickler and wife, Sandi and Ben F. Mickler and wife, Wendy.  She also had six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  She was affectionally known as “Maw Maw” by her family and close friends.

Wilma was an excellent Southern country cook and a devoted Jehovah’s Witness who spent her life talking to others about her faith.

There will be a private graveside service on Monday, April 4 and a Zoom memorial to be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to JW.org.  Donations can be made through the online portal.
