Zorina Lambert Obituary

Zorina Antonia Lambert, 77, of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at her residence with her husband of 47 years by her side.

Zorina was born of June 13, 1945, in Panama City, Panama  to the late Samuel Mandiche and Nilka Piza Mandiche.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She had a deep love for Panama, where she grew up and participated in many Catholic youth activities at Fatima Church in Panama.

She married her husband in 1976, and became a devoted U.S. Army wife who valued all the journeys it provided. Most especially, she cherished renewing her vows to Larry in the presence of the Catholic Church at Schoffield Barracks, Hawaii. In addition, she greatly appreciated the U.S. Army's ceremony and certificate of appreciation on the occasion of the retirement of her husband, as she had earned grateful appreciation for her own unselfish, faithful and devoted service.

Zorina was a loving and protective mother to her only child, Kathy.  Zorina made sure, that with the help of family, her surviving daughter have a good strong Catholic education and life.  Zorina's Catholic beliefs helped her construct strong family values to us all thus creating a world for Kathy full of hope and love.

Zorina loved to travel with her daughter, son-in-law, husband, and siblings.  One of the many highlights of her family travels was to Vatican City and having mass at St. Peter's Basilica.

Zorina's forty-four years as a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church filled her with much comfort and trust in Jesus Christ. She was a participant of the church's Opportunities to Serve God such as Adopt-a-Street and being an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.

Zorina's life was a happy one. She loved to add laughter in every family gathering and at every private moment with friends and family she trusted.

Zorina is survived by her husband Larry Lambert; daughter, Nilka “Kathy” Rager, and husband Patrick; siblings, Omar Mandiche, Adrian Mandiche, Rene’ Mandiche, Nereida Urrutia, Argelia Mandiche and Xiomara Mandiche Martinez; and her beloved cat, Sam.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. prior to the Memorial Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 11 a.m.  Entombment will follow in the Church Columbarium.
